One more week of European football is knocking at the door. Some teams have already reached the knockout stage but for the rest, it is the time for the most important games of the campaign. Keep that in mind when you enter your teams in Champions League €25K tournament on FanTeam.

PREMIUM

ATALANTA

Ilicic (11.5) – Gomez (13.8) - Zapata (14.3). 39,6% of the budget

Atalanta is one of the most motivated teams of the slate and its main favourite. They desperately need a victory to have a good chance for the Round of 16 before Week 6.

The opponent is the weakest team in the quartet and the only one besides Marseille with 0 points so far. The absence of Malinovskiy, Pasalic and Miranchuk leaves less worries on who will make the starting squad. Highly likely that it is Zapata, Ilicic and Gomes who will make the front three. I believe some managers will stack them all as Atalanta attack could run riot in this game — bookies give more than 50% to score over 2.5 goals..

DIFFERENTIAL

ATLETICO MADRID

Llorente (8.5) – Felix (9.3). 17.8% of the budget

We can’t but talk about motivation in the game between Atletico and Bayern. The Germans have already reached their main goal and traveled to Spain without Neuer, Goretzka and Lewandowski. I am not sure that other main figures like Muller, Gnabry and Coman will feature in the starting eleven.

The Spaniards, on the contrary, have a strong desire to win as the victory will allow them to make the knockout stage unless Lokomotiv wins against Salzburg.

The Spanish media predict that Simeone once again will use Carrasco as a left wing-back which particularly decreases his attacking potential. Bayern conceded goals in its last 7 games so pay attention to Joao Felix, the main man in the Atletico attack this season. My favourite personal pick from Atletico this year is Marcos Llorente, his second wave attacks often turn out a deadly weapon for the opponents.

VALUE

BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH

Thuram (7.8) – Plea (8.1). 15.9% of the budget

Borussia Mönchengladbach remains unbeaten on home turf this season and scored in every home game after the restart of the previous season in May. For Inter, this is the last possibility to stay alive in this group. I expect Italians attacking hard and both teams scoring like it happened in the most games in quartet B.

I see value in Borussia attackers but all of them besides Hermann are listed as forwards, and Hermann is far from being the most favourable pick in this squad. Use Thuram or Plea if you need to save funds for expensive players on other positions. You can even pick them both in order to have an ultra-differential team.

CAPTAINS

MAIN OPTION

Duvan Zapata (14.3)

When there is such a clear-cut favourite in the slate, it is sensible to choose the captain among its players. I would land my eyes on the main striker Duvan Zapata. He scored 3 goals in this Champions League, 1+1 in the first game between these teams in Denmark.

ALTERNATIVE OPTION

Raheem Sterling (11.2)

Man City will face a very tough fixture in Portugal but in any slate, we should consider their players worth picking. Raheem Sterling was rested at the weekend and should start the game on Tuesday. As Sergio Aguero isn’t ready to play, Sterling could be used as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus who played more than 70 minutes in each of his last 6 games.

Don't forget to look at the starting squads as all of them will be accessible one hour before the deadline. May the VAR be with your fantasy team!
