PREMIUM

Man City

Angelino (9.5) — Sterling (15.2) — Jesus (12.6). 35,5% of the budget

Last year the same time, the same place City crushed Shakhtar 6-0. We expect another entertaining night at Etihad. Both Sterling and Jesus are players with the highest ceiling of the slate. If you need to save some money and mix up your City stack, we recommend you pick Angelino. Shakhtar will play without their best attacking players Taison and Marlos, so clean sheet is likely. Besides, we expect City to score big and the full-backs can always end up with an assist.

It depends on Bayern’s mood and rotation as to how much the German side will score in Belgrade. They are the second favorites of the slate. Goals from Lewandowski and his team-mates are to be expected.

VALUE PLAY

Atalanta

Ilicic (11.2) — Gomez (11.8). 21,9% of the budget

Atalanta with 1 point after 4 games still have good chances to qualify. All they have to do is achieve 2 wins in 2 games. We expect them to take the first step on Tuesday.

Juventus

Rugani (5.8) — Bonucci (6.5). 11,7% of the budget

Juventus and Atletico Madrid, two well-defending teams, will play in Turin. A rather low-scoring game is expected, so it is Juventus value-priced defenders, whoever it is, you should be aiming for.

DIFFERENTIALS

Tottenham

The new manager bounce period started incredibly well. Now it’s time to say “Jose is in the house”. We expect a goal-fest at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. There are plenty of options from Spurs — you can toss a coin on who will score more: the ever-reliable Son, the spear-heading Kane, or a differential in Moura or Alli.

  • Son Heung-Min (13.2)

  • Alli (12.6)

  • Kane (13.6)

Olympiacos

As for the Greek side, we expect them to score in an open-ended game, so you can go for their low-priced forward or midfielder.

  • Podence (5.8)
  • Guerrero (6.5)

CAPTAINS

SAFE PICK

Raheem Sterling (15.2)

As we’ve already mentioned, the stack of Man City attacking players is highly recommended, so it is merely logical to captain Sterling, current top in CL-fantasy standings.

ALTERNATIVE OPTION

Son Heung-Min (13.2)

Son scored in every CL game he starts, including two braces in the last two games. He is in good form under the new manager too, scored and assisted in the weekend game against West Ham.
