Successful midweek for Spanish clubs in the international competitions drifts into a battle of La Liga leaders between Real Madrid and sensational Granada. Barca and Sevilla are going to find in a face-to-face battle who is more capable of pursuing the leaders at the moment. These and 7 more games are in the weekend slate of Fanteam La Liga tournament. Here we go!
Week 7 Dream Team

Real Sociedad has a perfect record of the home games this season so far. There were only 2 encounters but both opponents were demolished without a chance. 5 scored, 0 conceded, destroyed Atletico and now it is Getafe's turn to pass the test.
Bordalas' team had a difficult away game at Krasnodar, but we won't pay much attention to it as the squad was far from being optimal. All the leaders had an opportunity to rest and prepare for the Sunday game.
Nevertheless, I see Basques as a massive favourite not only in this game but in the whole slate as well. The fifth attack of La Liga (1.68 xG/90, 2.95 xG/90 at home) against mediocre defence of Getafe (1.23 xG/90 , 1.71 xG/90 away)
Fantastic form of Oyarzabal (10.2) who is knocking at doors of all European top-clubs, playmaking skills of a newcomer Odegaard (9.0) (player of the month in La Liga in September), and finishing from Willian Jose (9.6) make us consider Sociedad as a contender for top-3 this season, at least as far as firepower is concerned.
Barcelona is getting sufficiently better and better in attack with Leo Messi back in game. It won't be a surprise if Sevilla concedes 2 or 3 at Camp Nou.
But Valverde's side is still struggling in defense. With both left defenders injured and Lenglet suspended, the game could turn out to be a smooth sailing for Lucas Ocampos (6.8) to get a haul.
While Luuk de Jong is still unable to find the net this season, Ocampos and Nolito (6.5) are the 2nd and 3rd dangerous attackers in the team. Their stats are not impressive (only 1.10 and 1.09 for 7 games) as the attacking potential of the whole team is widely spread over even between full-backs and cental midfielders Jordan and Banega.
Atletico remains the best option in La Liga for choosing the defensive picks from. After showing high-quality defensive skills in the derby, they regained first position in the league for expected goals conceded - only 5.28 in 7 games.
Kieran Trippier (8.3) was rested in Moscow. So to my mind, it is the only viable option for this week from Diego Simeone's side. For the defensive stack, I advise you to pick Renan Lodi (7.5). He is the 4th expensive defender in this slate so you'll definitely get a substitute in case he isn't chosen for the starting 11.
If you want to have Atletico's offensive cover, it is much more difficult to choose the best one. All of them were in the starting squad against Lokomotiv.
I prefer Diego Costa (10.8) as he is the only player in the attacking group that started all games after he had recovered from the injury at the beginning of the season.
Mikel Oyarzabal (10.2)
Mikel was our alternative option last week. Since then he became Top-1 in the league for xG and showed fantastic run of form at Anoeta and in Sevilla.
Home game against Getafe is the right option to give him an armband in your team.
Gareth Bale (12.8)
Gareth in this season currently plays only 1 game per week to prevent injuries.
He played 4 full matches in last 4 weeks. He managed to contribute 14 shots and 4 key passes with 2 goals against Villarreal.
A nice differential and a massive attacking option for your team.
Adria Pedrosa (Espanyol, 4.9) - Espanyol has the best defensive stats in away games in La Liga. Adria may be used not only as a full-back but as a winger as well.
Jose Campana (Levante, 6.4) - tops La Liga for xA statistics (0.39 xA/90). Levante has the 2nd most effective attack in the league at the moment (1.8 xG/90).
Antonio Puertas (Granada, 5.6) - absolute leader of Granada, already has 3 goals on the balance. Brugge has shown there is nothing to be afraid of at Bernabeu.
We hope this preview leads you to success this week on FanTeam! Good luck to us all!
