Sorare – a football NFT collectibles and a global fantasy sports platform – announced they raised $680 million in a Series B stage today. This funding will help an already successful platform to further improve the product.
Since raising $50M in Series A this February, the company has signed a five year partnership with LaLiga and added multiple new teams and clubs to its already impressive roster. Sorare has also been able to scale its Ethereum infrastructure and introduce new scarcity to the game – Limited edition cards that are released on a 1,000 per player per season basis.
“New investors have backed us with a record-breaking fundraising round of $680 million, the largest in the history of French Tech and the largest in Europe for a Series B. The record breaking Series B is a huge statement of intent that will greatly improve our NFT fantasy gaming experience for millions of sports fans.
