The Game Plan: FanTeam Monster [GW16]

In this Weekly Monster preview format, I look at average prices of defensive and attacking options to make the stack selection process a bit easier for managers playing at FanTeam. I also share my shortlist with possible stack combinations and stand-alone plays for the week. Clean sheet, goals and chances to win charts are also here to help you make the right plays at the weekend.

Defence

  • CS, % — Clean Sheet odds
  • Min / Aver / Max Price — Goalkeeper & Defenders Price

* Average price is calculated based on probable starters. Price is based on players with good scoring potential. Players with low-scoring potential (like defensive midfielders) and bad underlying data were excluded so that the price reflects the most likely attacking stacks a manager would opt for.

Defensive Picks

It's an interesting case with Man Utd defenders this time. Shaw & Wan-Bissaka aren't predicted to be in the starting XI,  Alex Telles & Diogo Dalot are primed to start. But Telles & Dalot are cheaper than their partners and it's rather scary to pick any of them. So I think the only way to try to get Telles or Dalot to your team is to pick Lindelof + Wan-Bissaka considering the Safety Net rules.

Attack

  • Goal — Predicted Goals based on Bookie Odds
  • Min / Aver / Max Price — Midfielder & Forwards Price

* Average price is calculated based on probable starters. Price is based on players with good scoring potential. Players with low-scoring potential (like defensive midfielders) and bad underlying data were excluded so that the price reflects the most likely attacking stacks a manager would opt for.

Attacking Picks

Some of my picks may seem strange a little bit. It's not a mistake, considering the fact these players are more expensive and they will automatically substitute via Safety Net. Price difference is too small between them to take risks, so I advise you to play safer and pick those who are more expensive.
